Editorial Policy
The standards that govern what we publish and how.
Accuracy and clarity
We aim to get the facts right and to state them plainly. Where a subject is genuinely uncertain or contested, we say so rather than manufacture false confidence.
Fairness
We represent programs, companies, and points of view accurately, and we give appropriate context so readers can judge the material for themselves.
Sourcing and attribution
We rely on primary sources where possible — official program rules, filings, and named experts — and we attribute the information we use. When we cite another outlet’s reporting, we credit it.
News, analysis, and opinion
We distinguish straight reporting from analysis and opinion. Analysis interprets facts; opinion argues a position. Labels and framing are chosen so readers know which they are reading.
Independence and conflicts of interest
Editorial conclusions are not determined by advertisers or commercial relationships. Where a relevant conflict exists, we disclose it or decline the coverage.
Updates and corrections
We update stories as facts develop and correct errors transparently. See our Corrections Policy for how to report an error.
